“In ten sessions you’ll feel the difference, in twenty you’ll see the difference, and in thirty you’ll have a new body.” Joseph Pilates

A brief history….

Joseph Pilates (1880-1967), a native German living in England was interned during the First World War. He devised an exercise programme to strengthen the muscles of injured servicemen. After the war, he moved to New York, where his method was successful, particularly with dancers, who found it helped keep them injury free. Gradually his method became more and more widely known and today is practised worldwide by everyone from elite athletes looking to enhance performance, through people recovering from injury or back problems, to the average person who recognises the importance of keeping a strong, flexible body and a healthy spine.
